Now I can talk to a girl. She is of immense intelligence and heathen faith, yet suffers and seeks death. Our meeting’s likelihood was astronomically infinitesimal, and my life has no direction anyway, so I have taken it upon myself to pray to the gods of the Occident and the Orient for her well-being, whatever that may be.
Update. We talked for three weeks, and then she stopped for whatever reason (but she's alive). I always scoffed at the notion of psychological torture, yet this is finally suffering befit of my pride.
For my curiosity is the greatest tormentor. And the question is - what was it? Andersen, Hoffman, Kafka...
Just like with the recent insane Jewish revolt in Russia - what was it? What a fascinating diversity of this enchanted world.
